SXSW Accident Caused by Drunk Driver
The internet is buzzing with word of a car wreck that happened on crowded Austin streets during the annual SXSW festival. According to news reports, a stolen vehicle, occupied by a drunk driver, plowed through a crowd of festival goers, killing two pedestrians and injuring many others. The first was a male cyclist and then a woman on a moped. The cyclist was killed and the woman was taken to the hospital and is currently in stable condition.
According to eye witnesses, the crash seemed intentional and the driver fled on foot after driving straight into people with what seemed like a total disregard for his actions or consequences. This is really sad news, and while the driver’s name hasn’t been confirmed, many sources have pointed to the same suspect so hopefully he will be convicted soon.
