Talking Tattoos: RYAN CABRERA
This edition of Talking Tattoos with PunkWorldViews features singer/songwriter, Ryan Cabrera. While his music isn’t punk or anything, I have to say that this dude was pretty well-known back in my high school days and I was actually curious to see what the hell he’s been doing since being known as “that guy with that one song that dated Ashlee Simpson.”
It seems like he’s doing pretty well and still writing new stuff. Once again, his music isn’t really what interested me to talk to him but more like “whoa he has WAY more tattoos that he did before…” so like WHAT THE EFF ARE THEY? Well by god you’re all in luck! Talking Tattoos exposes musicians’ tattoos and gives them a chance to talk about them a little bit. It is SO ANNOYING when strangers touch your arm and ask you about your tattoos, but when it’s in the right environment, artists don’t mind telling their stories of why they got them or what the unicorn on their ass means. Ryan is an interesting case because he has quite a few tattoos from the infamous game Tattoo Roulette, which Cabrera explained in a previous interview with 96.5 TicFM:
“The choices are whatever is on the wall, and it can’t be religious and it can’t be tribal. That’s the only two rules,” Ryan explained. “We played Tattoo Roulette twice now and I have…….”
