The Dollyrots Announce New Album
Los Angeles punk duo The Dollyrots have just announced their fifth studio album, Barefoot and Pregnant. This record is set to drop February 25th and is completely fan-supported via Pledgemusic.com. Barefoot and Pregnant is produced by the band and John Fields (Jimmy Eat World, Andrew WK, Miley Cyrus) with mixing by Paul D. Hager (Har Mar Superstar, Katy Perry). The band’s own Arrestest Youth along with Hunnypot Records will release the album.
The Dollyrots aren’t one to veer from the DIY path, so it’s no surprise they weren’t relying on a label to release their album. PledgeMusic not only provided a way for fans to donate and support it’s release, but the band is donating 5% of any money raised to MusiCares.
The band has been playing since 2000 and has since played seven years of Warped Tour, been featured on multiple television shows, toured the US and Europe, tied the knot and had their first child last November. The band is expected to announce new tour dates in the near future.
