The Exploited Vocalist Has Heart Attack on Stage
The Exploited’s frontman, Wattie Buchan, was taken to the hospital last night (2/13) after suffering a heart attack on stage. The 57-year old Scottish singer founded the band back in 1980 in East Kilbride and had been working on the group’s first album in 11 years. BUZZ KILL.
The band put out a statement on Facebook:
“We are sorry to say that due to a severe illness that Wattie can’t continue with the tour. He will be in hospital for at least a week. Thanks for all the get-well messages.”
The incident happened a week into the seven-month “Tour of Chaos” with tourmates Hatebreed and Napalm Death. The remaining dates have been cancelled.
