The Mase Man.

I love this man for many reasons- not only is so cute, but he is one of my favorite FMX riders out there. Oh yeah, and one of his main sponsors is Rockstar, only my favorite energry drink EVER. =) Not that it should matter but… it does. Ha ha.. so anyway- back to Mike!
He also seems really down to earth. I’ve never met him in person, but I know people that know him, and they have nothing but nice things to say about him. Also, he likes to post blogs and really let his fans know what’s going on, which I really admire. I can’t stand people in his position (some wouldn’t consider him “famous” but in his sport, he definitely is) act like they’re too good to do anything, ignore all their fans and stuff. Mike seems like a genuine guy just doin what he does best, and for that, I like him!!

Looking…intense.

Mike Mason hails from Carson City, NV and was born August 27, 1981. His sponsors include Rockstar Energy Drink, Fox Racing, DVS, Maxxis Tires, Ogio, Oakley, Works Connection, Empire Suspension, Pro-Taper, Pro-Circuit, SANO, UNI, Hart & Huntington, Kicker and Leo Vince Exhausts.
He lists some of his favorite bands to be: Metallica, Pantera, Rise Against, Unmarked Roads, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, Black Tide, Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu, 30 Seconds to Mars, Sixx AM and Justin Timberlake, and his favorite movies as: Casino, Shawshank Redemption, Harlem Nights, Caddyshack, Ace Ventura, The Replacements, Tombstone, Click, Rad, Wildthings, Karate Kid, Shrimp on the Barbie and Girl Next Door.

Getting ready.

I love everything about this sport. I mean, extreme sports all together appeal to me, but something about FMX just rubs me the right way. It never gets boring, even though half of the guys are doing the same tricks.. it’s just like when you’re actually on a motorcycle, everytime you take off, your heart beats a little faster and you always feel that rush. Well.. for me at least (and this is riding on the back.. ha ha.. I don’t own my own yet, unfortunately). It just never gets old. Yeah, these guys are making good money, but if you think about the risks they’re taking, it’s crazy. I assume most of the more popular riders, like Mason, make the majority of money from sponsoships, endorsements, and things like that. Competitions do have a pretty nice prize for the top contendors, but think of how often they actually compete and how often they’re placing in the top three. Our boy, Mike, has placed in the top three in the 2005-2007 Dew Tours.
