0Thrice Is Re-Releasing Beggars on Vinyl
They might have cursed the world with their “hiatus” but Thrice is still staying relevant, dammit! The band has announced they will be re-issuing Beggars on vinyl. The record will drop May 20th via Staple Records/Workhorse Music Group.
The 2009 album, Beggars, has been out of print for four years, but this new limited edition press of 1000 pieces will be available exclusively through Workhorse Music. With your order, you can choose between two colors (red splatter or blue splatter vinyl) and the package will include a 24-page booklet with liner notes written by the band. Make sure to pre-order yours now!
In 2011, Thrice announced to my dismay theta they will be taking a hiatus after 13 years as a band and 8 albums. I still have hopes that the hiatus won’t be permanent, mostly because if I don’t get to see Dustin Kensrue sing again, I might get violent.
Beggars was the band’s sixth album and snagged the #5 spot on Alternative Press’ “Best Albums of 2009” list. But don’t listen to that crap, PunkWorldViews named their 2011 release Major/Minor as the #1 Album of 2011!
