Time flies so fast, there is a little 2017 and even a couple of 2019 releases in here. Great music can’t be constrained by dates on a calendar. – Greg
1. CJ Ramone, American Beauty – So much heart and soul here with the ethos and feel of a true Ramone.
2. Rancid, Trouble Maker – Hands down the best best punk band since the day they stared in 1991.
3. Interrupters, Fight the Good Fight – They make me wanna dance!
4. Walter Lure and the Waldos, Wacka Lacka Loom Bop A Loom Bam Boo – The title says it all. Still killin’ it down at the crossroads where rock and punk collide.
5. Elvis Cortez, Dagger and the Heart – Blurring the lines between punk, acoustic and country, Elvis’ style and attitude always moves me.
6. Channel 3, Put ‘Em Up – Since 1982 these guys have never disappointed. Once a fan, always a fan.
7. Kempi Ghoulie, Lost and Lovin’ It! – God, I love all things Kempi and Groovie Ghoulies! Such great songwriting and arranging. Such a unique voice.
8. Bad Cop Bad Cop, Retrograde — It’s just been so much fun to watch these ladies play together and solo, as a band and acoustic. Just a never-ending well of talent and style.
9 to 11. Yes, this one goes to eleven. Look out for 2019 album magic from Manic Hispanic, The Vulturas, and Loose Trucks. Orange County is coming for you.
