Top 10 Quarantine Boredom Busters: TETRARCH

After however many days we’ve been in this pandemic (seriously, I lost count so long ago), it’s inevitable that boredom will come. Even if you’re a parent and have plenty to do, the routine monotony can really creep up on you. Diamond Rowe from Tetrarch shared with us her top 10 boredom busters that may help you out. Maybe you’re already doing these things and you can just solace in the fact you have something in common with someone and you can tell your plants about it later. What? Okay, check it out.

Top 10 Quarantine Boredom Busters

10. Watching the entire series on The Sopranos – During the Quarantine I spent about 2 weeks binge watching the entire Sopranos series. I think it’s close to about 100 episodes or something crazy so you could definitely say I was ALL IN to get it done in 2 weeks haha.

9. Playing Guitar – This one probably isn’t very shocking because it’s just what I do, but playing guitar has been a big part of this time that I have had inside. We just finished recording a new album so I have been just trying my best to freshen up and stay tight on the new songs. There’s a lot of different elements on this record that I want to be able to pull off just perfect live when the time comes.

8. Fishing – Its surprising for most to hear, but I absolutely love fishing for basically any type of species but particularly bass. I spent a couple of months at home in Atlanta with my parents during this quarantine and there are so many lakes and ponds down south that its’ pretty much a fishing heaven.

7. Cooking – Since I have had to spend so much time at home with the quarantine, I have definitely been cooking a lot more. For the most part I cook the same things that I usually do but I have ventured to try to cook some different meals as well. I enjoy cooking so its been fun!

6. Working on the Tetrarch Album Release – We have been spending a lot of time during the quarantine working on the release of our upcoming album. We have recorded what we feel is an incredible album, and we want to make sure that we set it up to be one of the biggest metal records of 2020. So far it seems to be on the right track but it takes a lot of time and many hours of each day. We enjoy every minute of it but it is definitely time consuming.

5. Facetiming old friends – To be honest I am a rather shy person, so in a sense I am kind of an introvert. I tend to stay home and stay to myself most of the time and only really surround myself around the same people but I have definitely used this time to connect to more friends than I probably would have otherwise. I have had so many old friends facetime me and it has been nice to catch up with all of them. Sometimes it reminds me that I should probably try to be more social haha.

4. Playing with my dog – I think my dog is sick of me at this point because hes not used to me being home this much and he definitely likes his alone time haha! His name is Ozzy (yes, after the Prince of Darkness) and I must say that I have had a lot more time to spend with him going to the park haha! I think he appreciates that part.

3. Visiting Home – Since moving to L.A. and touring so much, it is super rare that we get enough free time to visit our families at home in Atlanta for extended periods of time. When everything shut down, I decided to go home to Atlanta and spend 2 months with my parents which was nice. My parents are like my best friends so it’s always a fun and relaxing time at home with them.

2. Impulse Amazon Shopping – You ever had those time where you just lay in bed and decide to go shopping online and literally spend hundreds of dollars in minutes? Yep, that’s me. I have done that several times BUT it has been beneficial because I have really revamped my home studio!

1. Adopted a new kitten son – I am 100% a dog person, and getting a cat has definitely confirmed that for me but there was a kitten that needed a home so here I am with a brand new addition. His name is Sid (after Sid from Slipknot but everyone thinks its after Sid Vicious, haha!). He’s super cute but he’s so bad and definitely keeps me on my toes. I hope he calms down soon hahah!
