Hey PWV Fam!
As always the punk scene produced some absolute bangers this year. So here is my annual list of my top 20 albums and top 10 EP’s/singles of 2025. It seemed like the first half of the year was kind of light release-wise, but the second half really came through.
While this is my list of the top releases for the year, I do have to mention that my favorite song appears on an album that is not on the list – and that would be “Birds” by Turnstile. What stellar jam. I highly recommend blasting that tune in the car. Also, how cool was that Laura Jane Grace/Catbite Operation Ivy Live At The Empty Bottle album?
So far 2026, looks pretty promising. Western Addiction, Toys That Kill, Direct Hit!, and Leftover Crack seem to working on new material respectively. Interestingly, Dead To Me has gotten moderately active again. Maybe we’ll finally get something new from them soon. I really hope that is the case.
Just like every year, be sure to keep an eye out for the album that gets my oh so coveted Album Art Of The Year Award, too!
