Zoli (Ignite) to Fill in for Pennywise
If you haven’t heard already, Pennywise vocalist, Jim Lindberg, parted ways with the band in August [2009]. Since they already had a tour in the works, they sought out a replacement. Zoli Teglas from the Orange County hardcore band, Ignite, is going to temporarily fill in for the October 23 and 24th Smokeout Festival shows at the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernadino, CA.

Punknews.org reports: Teglas is looking forward to playing with Pennywise and their hometown So Cal fans adding, “I’m stoked to be singing these upcoming shows with Pennywise. I’m a huge fan of the band and am super grateful to share the stage with my long time friends Fletcher, Byron, and Randy.”

I am a HUGE fan of both bands, but Zoli’s voice is so different than Jim’s, I’m having a hard time even imagining what it’s going to sound like. Whether it’s good or bad, I am definitely eager to at least hear it!
