Remembering Tony Sly

Most everyone in our scene has heard by now about the passing of Tony Sly. He was best known as the frontman for No Use For a Name and had established himself as a solo artist (both under Fat Wreck Chords).  I am beyond saddened by the news of his death, and not just that the world is losing such a talented musician, but Tony was a husband, father and one of the genuinely nicest human beings I have ever met. Anyone that knows me at all will back that I do not say that about many people. Tony will always be remembered for his music and as an all around excellent person. I feel lucky that he made the music he did in the time he had, and I know that friends and fans alike will always remember him. R.I.P. Tony Sly.

Check out an old interview I did with Tony HERE and check out some live footage from a Hotel Cafe show in Hollywood from early 2011.
