Tim Lambesis Denied Jail Sentence Reduction
As I Lay Dying vocalist, Tim Lambesis, returned to court this morning in an attempt to have his prison sentence reduced. If you’re not familiar, the frontman was found guilty of hiring a hitman to kill his wife. Nice one, Timmy! His defense attorney tried to get his sentence reduced while Lambesis was currently wearing a GPS monitor and be restricted to only his parent’s home, but all requests were denied. Prosecutor Claudia Grasso countered, “He’s not entitled to credits.” Judge Carlos Armour said “The GPS monitor was a condition of bail.” He has also been denied any custody of his three [adopted] children.
His estranged wife has now reverted back to her maiden name, Meggan Murphy. She was not present in the courtroom, nor were any of his former bandmates. Murphy’s parents were present, which I can only assume was to get the first word on the custody portion of the trial.
